Two original tracks and a remix of Steinmüller made an ep with strong dynamics that make it very hypnotic, redundant. The first track “Mushrooms”is characterized by a winding bassline, hard brakings with strong restarts … This is techno! The second one, “Black Congas”, as the title says, has as main feature the presence of sub-bass which create a strong sound pressure in the entire track with the addition of percussion distorted with different fx, including reverbs and delays, a “strong” compression “slaps” the listener and makes this track a real dancefloor killer! As in the previous track one of the feature, is the addition of synths sounds typical of oldschool Detroit! Züchtig und energisch seine Ziele und einer der Talente unserer Zunft, mit einem Wahnsinns Knwo How aus der Hauptstadt. Zwar hat er den Groove nicht neu erfunden, schafft es aber mit jedem Release eine neue groove- orientierte Duftnote zu hinterlassen. Genau das machen eben gute Produzenten aus, sich jedes Mal neu zu erfinden, dabei jedoch seinem Stil treu zu bleiben. Und einmal mehr zeigt Steinmüller seine Antwort auf den bestehenden Musikmarkt, den er lethargisch liegen lässt. Mit den vorliegenden Produktionen rollt der Zug klar in Richtung Techno. Steinmüller gelingt es seine club-tauglichen Arrangements mit Schub und Eigendynamik aufklingen zu lassen. spürbar wird dies mit seinem Beitrag „Woo“. Viel Raum zum Nachdenken gibt es hier nicht, eine Menge Raum aber um sich intuitiv treiben zu lassen. Ähnlich stilvoll und voller Energie wurde auch „Grauer Punkt“ aus der Taufe gehoben. Die industrielle/mystische Grundstimmung des Tracks spiegelt genau das Feeling der Takt Tick Live- und Djsets wieder und die rauen crispen Synth– und Bassriffs sorgen für angenehme Härte, die den Wolf aus der Drone locken.<br /><br />Ziemlich klar und rund rollt Machine Head auf einen zu. Kleine Breaks sorgen für den richtigen Auftrieb und kleine Explosionen. Die Überschaubarkeit und Tiefe zieht einen in den Bann, während die Bässe im richtigen Moment für ordentlichen Druck in der Magengegend sorgen. The surprising turnarounds and sound elements make up a deep techhouse trip with fat drums.
